Alpine Springs

Alpine Springs is defined by a translucent turquoise-blue resin board with visible marbled highlights. Ivory and cream playing squares sit within the blue field, while the irregular textured edge gives each board a handmade outline.

The photographs show two contrasting piece colours: one side is translucent turquoise-blue and the other is ivory-cream. The blue pieces echo the board and the ivory pieces pick up the light squares, giving Alpine Springs a clear visual identity when set up for play. It is distinct from Rose Quartz, whose board is pink and whose photographed pieces are ivory-cream on both sides.

Every set is handmade to order in Cape Town, South Africa. Because every set is handmade, each finished board has its own character, with natural slight variations in resin patterns, dimensions, board thickness and final weight. Please allow 3–4 weeks for completion. Shipping within South Africa is R190.

Choose Alpine Springs for a cool turquoise display piece that can be enjoyed as a chess set or displayed between games.
